Why the exhibition is important?

The electricity is an important element of modern civilisation. India, being on an impressive economic growth trajectory, needs to invest in expanding its power generation capacity.

Presently, in India, nuclear power ranks fifth as a source of electricity generation after coal, gas, hydroelectricity, wind power, etc. Since most of the traditional sources of electricity generation, through the emission of greenhouse gases, increase the danger of climate change it is imperative to consider nuclear energy for meeting future demand for electricity.

The Government of India is focusing on an ambitious nuclear energy program with an aim to meet 25% of the total energy demand through nuclear energy by 2050. This provides a valuable opportunity to public and private companies to be part of a booming industry.
